i kinda have a thing for pretty glass sphere (always a sphere, never a ball!) pendants. they always just add a little extra fun to any space.

i took a walk around the neighborhood last weekend with my camera and milly (my lab) in tow. i'm surrounded by so many pretty things in this town and i thought it was about time they received some attention. starting with the house i drool over drive past everyday. so classic.

i was really into the stone wall that runs along a few houses. and that is was covered in moss.

oh, and the reason i've been smiling extra wide the past few days while i drive around- the tulip trees taking over nashville's landscape.

i'm really into hats these days. all styles, colors, and sizes accepted! whether i'm trying to conceal a no-wash hair day or "topping" off an outfit, they always just seem to do the trick.

i went to help a friend look for wedding dresses this weekend. the shop was so lovely i just had to take some pictures (even though we were told not to).

something pretty to send you off for the weekend. these ballet slippers are sold in our showroom and i'm obsessed with them. we have a dance studio across the street and the little girls twirling in and out of it are always so adorable. i'm also jealous that they get wear tutus.

when i come back in my next life, my name better be kate or cate (because blanchett is the best!!) or i will be pissed. and i will be fabulous. that's all there is to it.

ok, so kelly's been around for a while, but i've loved her since day one and i just had to do a blog on her. sure, her style may not always be my taste, but her eccentricity keeps me interested. her perspective is just so fresh each time she presents a new design, and thennn it gets emulated by the masses and kinda loses its appeal (trellis!!)... but still she always comes back with something exciting. basically, she's just the type of girl that if she says it's cool to use giant, gold hands as your office guest chairs, i'm tempted to believe her.

*ps. rumor is, before she was KWID, she was a playmate. i choose to ignore this part of her past, because it totally makes me look at her differently...

right now, i am coveting the combination of crisp white and scalloped edges with a pop of color. oh, so feminine! and just in time for warmer days. if only i could throw a garden party using that tableware wearing that dress with that dainty pin in my curls, i would be a very happy girl. oh, and my backyard would have to have a pond with swans in it, too.

in honor of mardi gras, i put together a collection of my favorite new orleans-inspired interiors. loving the  rich jewel tones, beveled mirrors, and plush textures. wish i could have spent the past weekend drinking hurricanes and collecting beads on bourbon street, how about you?

this digital magazine, along with the many others that have come about in the last year or so, is yet another reason why my mac is pretty much glued to my lap. i like this one a lot though because it's all about lifestyle, instead of focusing just on interiors, or fashion, or event planning. oh, and they always manage to find the most unique people to feature (love flipping the page from Diana Vreeland to Oscar Wilde). it's quirky, artsy, witty, smart and original --> addictive.

we filled a lavabo from our showroom with succulents this morning to put in a client's home and it turned out just beautiful. i admit, i was once not so into these plants, but now i couldn't love them more. they add such a rich lushness to your home and are so low-maintenance- who wouldn't want them dressing their tables? they remind me of fern gully which was one of my favorites as a kid, so that's cool, too. anyway, happy friday everyone! hope you all have a very succulent weekend!

bunny williams is in the new elle decor featuring her design for a penthouse in manhattan. the offices were my favorite part of the space, and of course, the woman's i gravitated to more. her signature design style is all over the space, but it seems her aesthetic is a bit more contemporary and light which is a good thing.

such a classic! whether on andy, audrey or your kitchen walls, they always look chic. always. they are popping up everywhere this season in such versatile ways and it makes me excited. i appreciate patterns that can stand the test of time, yet still be considered "trendy."
